2015 Pinot Noir

Winner of a Gold Medal with a score of 95 for Pinot Noir at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show.

Winner of both the Gold medal with a score of 96 and the Fagan Trophy for Best Pinot Noir at Show at the 2016 Australian Single Vineyard Wine Show.

Vintage 2015 has proven to be all about balance.  Outstanding grape quality has been matched with good yields, mild temperatures with sufficient rain, and optimum sugar levels with beautifully ripe tannins.

Our 2015 Pinot Noir is made from 100% estate grown fruit using 20% whole bunch ferment and maturation on extended lees.

Created in a bright but savoury style it exhibits cherry and dark berry aromatics with a bold and textured plate.

2015 Sparkling Blanc De Noir

Made in the traditional method, this vintage 2015 sparkling displays aromas of strawberries and lifted floral notes.  The palate is elegant, with a soft creamy mousse, fine bead and crisp dry finish.  100% single vineyard Pinot noir - hand picked, whole bunch pressed and tirage bottled in June 2016.

2017 Pinot Noir Rosé

The 2017 vintage is another fine example of what premium fruit and quality winemaking can produce.

Cherry and savoury aromatics are matched with a soft palate and lingering finish.

Made from 100% estate grown pinot noir, fruit was whole bunch pressed direct to old French Hogsheads to complete softening and wild fermentation.

Our Previous Vintages:

2015 Pinot Noir Rosé - SOLD OUT

Winner of a Silver medal at the 2016 Australian Single Vineyard Wine Show.

Judges review:“one very interesting wine with good complexity and texture”.

Vintage 2015 has proven to be all about balance.  Outstanding grape quality has been matched with good yields, mild temperatures with sufficient rain, and optimum sugar levels with beautifully ripe tannins.

Our Rosé reveals the same character.  Produced in a dry style it exhibits cherry and savoury aromatics while the palate is soft and textured with a lingering finish.

Made from 100% estate grown pinot noir, fruit was whole bunch pressed direct to old French hogsheads to complete wild fermentations and softening.

2013 Pinot Noir - SOLD OUT

Winner of a Bronze medal at the 2016 Australian Single Vineyard Wine Show.

The 2013 season has produced a wine of great depth and balance.  The savoury fruit profile is beautifully balanced with classic cherry and plum.  The tannins are fine, persistent and interwoven with fruit, while the natural acidity provides an elegance that is a testament to the site, the soil and the season.

Halliday rating 93 “It has excellent colour, and a fresh zesty Palate”.

2012 Pinot Noir - SOLD OUT

A bright clear mid-cherry robe with promising hints of violet at the rim.  The nose also suggests cherry, fresh baked bread and the smell of warm autumn soils.  In the mouth a fresh acidity is balanced by sappy, savoury, herbaceous elements of sage and thyme, complimented by a through chord of red fruits and finished with quite firm tannins that confirm structure that is no way heavy.  The balance supports a long autumnal finish.  The winemaking is unobtrusive and sensitive to the quality of our fruit.

2013 Pinot Noir Rosé - SOLD OUT

The 2013 Rosé is made exclusively from Pinot Noir fruit.  It displays fine texture and balances crisp acidity with elegant plum and spice aromas.  Made from 100% whole bunch fermentation and with an alcohol content of 12.7%, this hand crafted wine is unfiltered and unfined.

2010 Pinot Noir - SOLD OUT

The 2010 is a very well balanced wine that is more in keeping with typical French Burgundy Pinot.  With an alcohol content of 12.5% (heavenly!) there is still masses of flavour, savoury undergrowth bouquet backed up by a complex of herbaceous flavours in the mouth married to leathery tobacco notes without overpowering tannins or dark extractions.  More cherry than blackberry.  The wine in its middleweight harmony is somewhat akin to a Pommard or Beaune of a medium year.

Bright, clear crimson-purple; a very lively and fresh pinot, with cherry and sour cherry fruit on the bouquet and palate....

Tasting notes by James Halliday in the 2012 edition of Australian Wine Companion - rating 92.
